As many of you now know, making friends in second life is a lot harder than it seems. Having trouble? Well my friends, you are in luck! I happen to be a friend making machine...yeah thats right! i have a total of 5 friends! I figured i would share the friend making tactics that have made me Mr. Popular.
1. The follow and chat: This is how i made my first friend, Aster. I wandered into her shop, she sells horses (pretty impressive, i know). I told her i was new and asked if she would show me around her shop. After a tour of her shop, Aster took me to her home and her garden. Needless to say, i got the grand tour. 2.Chillin with the noobies: I made three friends just hanging out at welcome islands and talking to people. I always started the conversation with, "Hey (insert name here), are you new here? I am." The i told them a story about how i got stuck doing a jig and couldnt stop...which is true! 3.The dragnet: Walk into a crowd and say, look everyone, i need friends because im being graded on it. (Yes, i actually tried this) Most people did not respond but a few outgoing people were willing to be friends. It just goes to show you that people appreciate honesty and being blunt.
